This month, Annette and Fiona from the Scoot Boot team embarked on a series of visits to prestigious reining stables, showcasing the benefits of Scoot Boots for both professional and amateur reiners. We began at Kole Price Performance Horses, demonstrating how Scoot Boots can be a game-changer, especially during turnout and hauling. Kole, initially skeptical, was impressed by the boots' fit and their potential to protect young reiners from injuries caused by kicks and slips.
Our journey continued at Colin Fitzpatrick Performance Horses, where we fitted Turbo, a valuable 2-year-old stallion, with Scoot Boots. Colin, like many reiners, is concerned about the safety and performance of his horses. He recognised the potential of Scoot Boots to safeguard his high-value horses during turnout and transport.
After the WESA event, we visited two more prominent reining stables. We had a productive session with Steve, who was impressed by Scoot Boots' durability and fit. His feedback confirmed that Scoot Boots offer significant advantages for performance horses, particularly in protecting their hooves during turnout and transport.
We also visited Franky's stable, further solidifying our belief that Scoot Boots are ideal for trail riding with reiners and enhance the welfare and performance of professional performance horses.
Keep an eye out for our upcoming interviews with each of the Texan reiners.
WESA Event - Expanding Markets
Our team’s participation in the WESA event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with industry professionals and introduce Scoot Boots to new markets. The event generated significant interest, with many attendees eager to learn more about our products and how they can benefit their customers.
While our presence at WESA was primarily to raise brand awareness, it also provided us with insights into the broader equestrian market and potential new avenues for growth. We’re excited about the opportunities ahead as we expand Scoot Boots’ footprint in the industry.

Exciting Collaboration in The Netherlands:
James Arkins Meets Barbara Hoekstra
James Arkins, an elite Australian show jumper and Scoot Boot Brand Ambassador, is currently training in The Netherlands and will soon meet with renowned barefoot trimmer Barbara Hoekstra. This collaboration aims to explore the benefits of barefoot hoof care and share insights from James’ European campaign.
Barbara Hoekstra, a leading Belgian trimmer, will travel to James' training location to discuss barefoot trimming and its advantages. We are eager to share highlights from their meeting and the media coverage that will follow.
Barbara Hoekstra’s Philosophy
Barbara Hoekstra’s approach to horsemanship is grounded in respect and safety. She believes that effective communication between horse and rider is essential, and she avoids methods that hinder this interaction. Her training focuses on ensuring fun and relaxation for both horse and rider, with an emphasis on safety through appropriate protective gear.
Barbara champions responsible horsekeeping, advocating for bitless riding, well-maintained barefoot hooves, balanced musculature, and ample social contact. She also prioritises the rider’s balance to ensure it does not interfere with the horse’s movement.
Stay tuned for updates on this promising collaboration and the insights shared during their meeting.
